Who is it for?
School staff who require allergy and anaphylaxis awareness training, including training associated with Benedict’s Law from September 2026.

About the course
This online course gives school staff the knowledge and confidence to recognise allergic reactions and respond appropriately to anaphylaxis within an educational setting.

Learners are shown how to recognise mild and severe allergic reactions, understand the emergency response to anaphylaxis and use different forms of adrenaline medication.

Practical video demonstrations cover adrenaline auto-injectors, EURneffy® nasal spray, CPR and AED use during an anaphylactic emergency.

The course can also form part of a blended learning programme, with additional face-to-face practical training providing hands-on experience with adrenaline trainer devices and CPR/AED skills.

Course duration: Approx. 1 hour
Assessment: Self-checks throughout followed by a final multiple-choice assessment
Pass mark: 80% on the final assessment
