About the course
This online refresher provides a convenient way for paediatric First Aiders to maintain their knowledge between practical training and requalification. The course incorporates the 2025 Resuscitation Council UK guidelines and revisits the essential skills needed to respond confidently to first aid emergencies involving infants and children.

Topics covered include:

• Roles and responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider
• Assessing an unwell infant or child
• CPR and AED for infants and children
• Dealing with an unconscious casualty
• Choking
• External bleeding
• Seizures
• Shock, including anaphylactic shock
• Burns
• Accident reporting

Course duration: Approx. 1 hour
Assessment: Section self-checks followed by a final multiple-choice assessment
Pass mark: 80% on the final assessment
Attempts: Up to 3 attempts
Certification: CPD accredited downloadable certificate
Certificate validity: 1 year
