This online course gives learners the knowledge and understanding needed to undertake the role of a chaperone safely and professionally.

It explores why chaperones are important, when they should be offered or used, the responsibilities of the chaperone and the rights of the patient.

The course also covers effective communication, professional boundaries, accurate documentation and appropriate action if a learner has concerns.
