Qualified workplace First Aiders who want to refresh their knowledge and skills between their initial qualification and requalification.

About the course
This online refresher supports the Health and Safety Executive recommendation for annual first aid refresher training. It is designed to help qualified First Aiders maintain their knowledge, confidence and awareness of current best practice between requalification courses.

The module includes current Resuscitation Council UK guidance and reviews essential first aid knowledge and key lifesaving procedures.

Topics covered include:

• Accident recording and reporting
• Assessing an emergency situation
• Choking
• CPR and AED
• Unconscious casualties
• External bleeding
• Preventing cross infection
• Role and responsibilities of the First Aider
• Seizures
• Shock

Course duration: Approx. 1 hour
Assessment: Section self-checks plus a final multiple-choice assessment
Pass mark: 80% on the final assessment
Attempts: Up to 3 attempts
Certification: Downloadable certificate on successful completion
Certificate validity: 1 year
